Provide strategic guidance to manufacturing and management to facilitate attainment of targets. Monthly closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations for variable costs, inventory, and short term and long term assets. Participates in special studies as required relative to profitability, pricing, cost reduction projects, productivity improvements, and return on investment. Major participant in SOX auditing and analysis General knowledge of business area processes, including best practices in order to support the area's projects, products and services. This individual will have exceptional written skills and the ability to understand and report on all forms of business statistical information. The ability to make decisions, solve problems and meet challenges in completing work. Development, coordination and maintenance of systems that assist management in financial control and decision making. Preparation and reporting of internal financial statements & operational metrics Prepares daily, monthly, and quarterly financial analysis and status reports of on-going business activities, e.g., sales, thru put, and spending vs plan. Maintains liaison with other operations regarding financial matters. Assists in the development of short and long range financial plans. Heavy ad-hoc reporting. Advanced mathematical and analytical thinking skills and a clear understanding of general business financial applications and formulas. The ability to predict market trends, analyze statistical factors, research trends and understand implications of surrounding markets.
